The National Trade Register is maintained by the Ministry of Justice. Although access to the database is free of charge, you do have to register. The database is searchable by trade name, company registration number or tax code. Information that is accessible free of charge includes trade names, registered offices, registration numbers, tax codes and the dates of the latest changes within the company. Introductory pages and description of the register is provided in English and Romanian, the system itself operates in Romanian only.
